About the event
John Duffy is an Irish regenerative farmer and co-founder of Future Oak Farm, based near Churchill in the beautiful uplands of County Donegal. After a successful career as an engineer in the oil and gas industry—spanning the Middle East, Africa, and Asia—John returned to Donegal around 2015 with a vision to breathe new life into his family’s farm, which had long been marginal in profitability.
Partnering with Laura McGoran, he transformed it into a thriving organic, regenerative operation, blending livestock, wild venison management, educational outreach, and on‑farm events to showcase sustainable uplands farming.
John is passionate about holistic grazing and biodiversity.
In addition to farming, John co-founded Wild & Co, a venture producing high‑protein, minimally processed venison snack bars. Developed in collaboration with Laura, the product stems from on‑farm experimentation.
