About the event

Silas is the farm manager with FAI Farms. FAI are farmers, scientists and consultants, who partner with corporations to deliver positive change to animal-based production systems.

You may know Silas better as @grassfed_farmer on social channels. He is very active on instagram sharing videos of the farm.

Follow him here: https://www.instagram.com/grassfed_farmer/

They farm native breeds; angus, shorthorn and some stabiliser, all on a grass based system. Grazing most of the year with the help of bale grazing plots over the winter. FAI also manage to finish their animals under 26 months, mostly 22-24 months.

With our current Beef Carbon Reduction scheme now rolled out, this should be an interesting conversation to learn what can we adopt here in our systems.

Silas is open to whatever questions you may have, there will be plenty of time allocated for them.
