An interesting piece from FFCC (Food, Farming and Countryside Commission)

Extract from their website:
A key recommendation in Our Future in the Land was the establishment of an agroecology development bank to direct patient, mission led finance to farmers, and other actors in the food system, to enable a just and speedy transition to agroecology. Further reports, Farming for Change and Farming Smarter, made the case that the transition to agroecology is both economically and agronomically plausible and fair, whilst setting out prospective arrangements for an agroecology development bank to overcome the barriers some farmers face in accessing funding.
This year we have convened a Finance Leadership Group to explore the opportunities for progress in financing a just transition. The group brings leaders together from across the finance and funding sectors, to share insights and take stock of the current environment, and to develop a focussed work programme for directing new money into the sector.
