Eventbrite.ie Protein-I Seminar Series

About the event

Protein-I is a recently funded project which aims to diversify plant-protein production across the island of Ireland. The project will focus on plant production through to human health, while paying particular attention to the development of Ireland's rural bio-economy.

The lectures will be streamed live via Zoom. Registration is essential & a link will be sent in advance of each lecture with login details.

Our next talk in this series will be on Thursday November 17th @10.00 am (IST) by Dr. Trevor Cadden, Prof. Ronan McIvor & Dr. Joseph Rafferty from Ulster University - 'The role of blockchain technologies in supporting supply chain provenance'.

Overview:

Traceability, data security and sustainability are all key supply chain issues. The overarching aim of this seminar is to introduce a stakeholder designed smart supply chain technology solution tailored to the needs of the agri-food industry to address the current traceability, security and sustainability challenges. This seminar will outline the proposed supply chain technology solution based upon an innovative and novel design concept known as ‘dual hosted Distributed Ledger Technology’ (DHDLT) and Directed Acyclic Graphs (DAG).
